We started baking the pastries formerly known as "Little Oven" pastries. Thursday was the official day. Thanks in large part to Christian and the party he dragged out of bed so early, we had nearly a bakers dozen people waiting in the parking lot for pastries. In true Christian form, he brought a sign for us--"Welcome back into our bellies"-- as well as a shirt he made with pictures of pastries and sentiment. WOW! I'll remember to look out for 1969 coins (you'll have to ask him about that). John brought us a 4, 5 and 6 leaf clover. Margaret, Paula and Steve, et al, were a very welcome sight. Thanks so much, everyone, for REALLY making our day! We still can't stop smiling.
Don't forget to check out Kalberg.com for information on trail conditions, etc. They had a run-in with a mountain goat on the switchback trail, but fortunately persevered behind someone's slingshot, returning with some great pictures on the post. Great pics, and really fun-to-read anecdotes about their adventures. The Good To Go, also, can't thank Seth and Candace enough for their enthusiastic support.
